Birthday Gifts

Today I celebrated my ?@ birthday.    As part of our online stitching group Friends In Stitching each year we do a birthday swap and each year has a different theme.   This year it was Eat Sew Grow.    The gorgeous Jo from Tassie made for me this year and I absolutely love what I received.

Starting with this gorgeous box ...

and inside were these lovely gifts

Recipe journal
Fat quarters and fabric lollies
A bunch of fabric flowers - I just love these
And some Toblerone Chocolates.

Thank you Jo

Also my gorgeous friend Bec sent me these lovely goodies

2 quilting magazines
A gorgeous pin cushion in fabrics from my favourite designers Bonnie & Camille
and a lovely bar of soap

Thanks Bec xxxxx

I spent the day at the cricket in Maitland watching my girl play for her school team.   They won and she took three wickets which I think was almost the best birthday pressie ever.   If they win their next game they go to State - good luck girls you can do it!

A Little Bit of Sewing

School is well and truly back and life in the King house is crazy - the last term of school is always a hectic time as we head into cricket season, touch football, end of year exams and many after school training and dance sessions.   On some weekends between now and Christmas I will have to sit through up to four games of cricket - oh what joy (it is a good thing I like cricket but I can guarantee I will be well and truly over it by Christmas!)

I did manage to get some stitching done in the down time during the school holidays.

An Ipad pouch for my new Ipad

Matching zippy purse to hold my charger and cord and a tissue packet holder using up the rest of the fabric.

Some secret stitching

An altered version of my Vintage Modern tablecloth made using a Red Renaissance charm pack from Chloe's Closet and some yummy white ric rac

I also got the binding sewn down on my Ruby Pinwheel Quilt.   I just love this quilt - bright an cheery.

I have also been working on a new design using a charm pack and yardage from Aneela Hoey's  Cherry Christmas range.

There are also lots of great bargains over at Red Raspberry Quilts plus some new patterns from Calico Farm Designs and new Gypsy Girl and Sew Stitchy precuts.   Head on over and check it out.

Happy Stitching
