More Sew Stitchy

These have been made using some of the leftover Sew Stitchy jelly roll strips. They will be donated to a very worthy cause but will be hard to part with. First photo shows the side of the pocket that has a little pocket to hold your scissors & the other photo shows the other side.

Sew Stitchy Bag

Yesterday in the awful heat the only really cool room in the house was the sewing room so I hid myself away in there for the afternoon and stitched this sewing bag.

I used a Sew Stitchy Jelly Roll by Aneela Hoey and some yardage.   It is really roomy and has a large pocket on the front and back and small ones on the sides.  I decided to use bag pellon which has given the bag a lot of shape but was very bulky to sew when I had to go through a few layers.   The pattern was from the Moda Bake Shop Fresh Fabric Treats Book.  

It has rained here today and the weather is so much cooler.   I did some baking this morning and am now going to settle in for more sewing.   I think I will use some of the leftover jelly roll strips to make a similar bag and pincushion to this one that I made Peg last year.

I Hope This Works!

I am having so much trouble uploading photos in blogger at the moment so I have taken Deb’s advice and am trying Windows Live.   I am going to add a random photo and hope it works.

Pat's Peg Bag

Well here is my Mum's peg bag all finished. I changed it a little to the original one in my previous post & I am so happy with how it turned out.

The second photo is a quilt that I started at a retreat last March. I have had it sitting in my sewing room for about 5 months just waiting to put the binding on. Don't know why I have procrastinated for so long but I am so happy that it is finally finished.

I am back to work tomorrow after a fortnight off :( but have really enjoyed the break & having time to sew. I have decided that my motto for 2013 is "Sew More Work Less" - I wonder how long that will last!

Peg Bags

My mum asked me to make her a new peg bag for her birthday so I came up with this. As this was a practice one & the fabrics match other things in my laundry I thought I would use one of these Marmalade fabrics with the red for the frill - which one do you think yellow or blue?
